A 2001 graduate of the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), Carol holds the designation of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coach Federation (ICF). She also was trained as an Action Learning Coach at the World Institute for Action Learning in Washington, D.C. Carol is a certified Trainer and Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), who studied personally with NLP co-founder Richard Bandler and celebrity success coach Tony Robbins. Her personal breakthroughs with NLP (including overcoming a lifelong fear of the water, walking on 2000-degree burning coals, and jumping off a telephone pole toward a flying trapeze) inspired her to master this transformational technology and help others achieve breakthrough results.
Her coaching innovations include Return on Experience (ROX), The Intelligent Outcome, and other coaching models and tools.
Carol serves as the 2014 President of the ICF Metro DC Chapter – North America’s largest — as well as co-chair of the 2013 Capital Coaches Conference, and chair of the 5th annual ICF Metro DC Prism Awards recognizing excellence in organizational coaching.
Prior to entering the coaching profession, Carol worked as a journalist, magazine editor, and contributor to such publications as The Washington Post, TV Guide, and Asian Wall Street Journal. Her position as managing editor of The China Business Review led to a 17-year career in the China travel, tourism, and hospitality industries.
